The Miami 1990 tour of Café Quijano made a stop this Saturday in Utrera and filled the Edificio de Usos Múltiples. Around 4,000 people attended the recital live, according to data provided by the organisers.
The concert was part of the Festival del Patio + Metrópolis, a programme promoted by the Provincial Council of Seville in collaboration with the Utrera City Council. This event added to the cultural agenda of the municipality, which has hosted other large-scale shows in recent years.
The brothers Manolo, Óscar and Raúl Quijano reviewed tracks from their new album and revived some of the best-known titles from their repertoire. The performance served to gauge the response of the local audience, which filled the venue.
“The audience's response marked a night in which around 4,000 people filled the venue,” highlighted the event's organisers.
With over three decades of experience, Café Quijano has developed a unique style that blends pop rock and bolero. The band has accumulated numerous hits both in Spain and abroad, nominations for the Latin Grammy and the American Grammy, and collaborations with artists such as Carlos Santana, Céline Dion, Armando Manzanero, and Herbie Hancock.
The Utrera City Council has not yet detailed whether it will repeat this type of concert in future editions of the festival. The Provincial Council's programme will continue in other municipalities in the province in the coming weeks.
