The City Council of Dos Hermanas has begun work on Monday to replace 132 metres of pipeline on Garcilaso de la Vega Street, with a twelve-week timeframe and traffic disruptions.
The City Council of Dos Hermanas launched on Monday, August 3, the renovation works for the water supply network on Garcilaso de la Vega Street, in the section between Vicente Blasco Ibáñez Street and Jaime Gil de Biedma Street.
The project, executed by EMASESA, is part of the programme for improving and modernising the hydraulic infrastructures of the municipality, aimed at increasing the reliability of the network and providing a higher quality service to the public.
The works will consist of replacing 132 metres of the existing pipeline with a new ductile iron network, a more modern and durable material. Additionally, a new gate valve, a potable water connection, and ten household connections will be installed, while the section of pipeline that will be out of service will be decommissioned.
The intervention has an estimated execution period of twelve weeks. During this time, there will be partial disruptions to both pedestrian and vehicular traffic in the area, so residents are advised to plan alternative routes.
Once the work is completed, the affected pavements and road surface will be restored, as reported by the City Council, which thanks residents in advance for their understanding and cooperation regarding the temporary inconveniences that these necessary works may cause in continuing to advance the renewal of urban infrastructures and the improvement of public services.
