Focus Sevilla expands its networking network to La Rinconada with a high-performance business club that will connect the local industry with the capital.
The municipality of La Rinconada has launched its own high-performance business club this week. Focus Sevilla, the networking network that brings together executives, freelancers, and entrepreneurs around the values of elite sports, has opened its first branch outside the capital, named Focus La Rinconada.
The announcement was formalised at an event held in the Sala Maga of the Cultural Centre of La Villa, attended by more than fifty entrepreneurs from the region. Among those present was the delegate for Land Planning and New Business Developments, Francisco Manuel Díez, as well as representatives from SMEs, freelancers, and industrial executives from the municipality.
The project is led by Rubén Barreno, founding partner of Focus Sevilla, and Agustín Falcón Mendía, who takes on the role of Executive Manager of Focus La Rinconada. The new branch replicates the methodology of the parent organisation: monthly working breakfasts, discussions, training events, and networking dynamics aimed at generating business opportunities, investment alliances, and professional synergies.
From the club's management, they have emphasised that the choice of La Rinconada is not coincidental. They consider it one of the municipalities with the greatest economic projection in the province and a location aligned with sustainable development strategies and investment attraction. The goal, as they have explained, is for Focus La Rinconada to act as a direct bridge between the industrial engine of the municipality and the global network of contacts of Focus Sevilla.
The La Rinconada City Council has highly valued the arrival of this platform. Francisco Manuel Díez has stated that it represents a boost for the local business fabric and that the City Council will support initiatives that energise the economy: “For La Rinconada, the arrival of Focus is excellent news that reinforces our strategy to make the municipality a major business and investment hub in the metropolitan area”.
Díez added that the club will offer cutting-edge training, a culture of cooperation, and the spirit of overcoming challenges inherent in high-performance sports, and emphasised that platforms like this are “the perfect catalyst for generating quality jobs, enhancing local talent, and consolidating a modern, sustainable, and highly competitive industrial fabric”.
The first deputy mayor and municipal head of Economy and Finance, Raquel Vega, has also celebrated the initiative. In her speech, she highlighted the role of Agustín Falcón and the consultancy The Best Project in bringing Focus to La Rinconada, and noted that the club will be “a direct bridge between our population and the entire metropolitan area of Seville”.
Vega insisted that the fusion of business leadership and sports values is key to enhancing local talent and generating quality jobs, and assured that the municipality continues to position itself as one of the major hubs of attraction and investment in the province.
With this expansion, Focus reinforces its commitment to the Andalusian productive fabric and exports a business model in which continuous training, digitalisation, sustainability, and competitiveness in sports serve as leverage for local companies. The new branch starts with an agenda of activities that will be detailed in the coming weeks, with working breakfasts as the first appointment for interested entrepreneurs.
