The Social Services delegate, Rocío Bastida, visited a group of elderly residents from the Cristo de la Salud Residence at the San Juan summer pool during a day of leisure and socialising.

The San Juan summer pool, in Alcalá de Guadaíra, hosted this week a group of elderly people from the Cristo de la Salud Residence for a day of leisure and socialising. The Social Services delegate from the City Council, Rocío Bastida, spent part of the morning with them, inquiring about how they are enjoying the summer.

During the meeting, the delegate chatted with the residents in a relaxed atmosphere, accompanying them on their day of swimming and relaxation. The City Council emphasises that this visit is part of the commitment of Social Services to provide close support to elderly individuals.

Rocío Bastida highlighted the importance of promoting activities that enhance the well-being, participation, and social relationships of this group, especially during the summer months. The initiative aims to offer meeting and enjoyment spaces that contribute to improving their quality of life.

The San Juan pool is one of the municipal facilities set up for the summer in Alcalá de Guadaíra. The visit is part of a broader programme aimed at supporting the elderly that is promoted by the Social Services department, with the goal of encouraging their active participation in the community.

The day unfolded in a friendly atmosphere, with the elderly enjoying a different day outside the residence. The City Council plans to repeat this type of outing throughout the summer, according to municipal sources.

The initiative is part of the actions that the Alcalá City Council develops for the well-being of the elderly, a group that seeks refuge and activities in spaces like this municipal pool during the hottest months.
