Osuna to Renovate Parks and Playgrounds with 130,000 Euros from the Provincial Council

The Osuna Town Council will invest 130,000 euros from the Sevilla Provincial Council to renew rubber, replace playground equipment, and improve parks.

The Osuna Town Council will undertake a plan to improve parks, gardens, and children's play areas, funded by a grant of 130,000 euros from the Sevilla Provincial Council. The action will include the renewal of rubber and the replacement of playground equipment.

The Osuna Town Council has announced an ambitious project to enhance and condition the parks and gardens of the municipality, as well as the children's play areas. This initiative will be made possible thanks to a grant of 130,000 euros awarded by the Sevilla Provincial Council through the Provincial Plan for Cooperation in Works and Services.

The First Deputy Mayor, Brígida Pachón, explained that this extraordinary funding will allow for "continuing to improve these spaces" and has revealed that work is already underway on a specific project for the San Arcadio Park, for which European funds are also being sought.

Pachón recalled that since this government team took office in 2007, efforts have been made to provide the neighbourhoods and squares with adequate parks and gardens. "We have managed to have parks with continuous rubber and children's play equipment, which now require new actions due to wear and tear from use and, in some cases, vandalism," she noted.

The new investments will focus on acting on the continuous rubber, replacing children's play equipment, and carrying out maintenance and fine-tuning work in various parks in the municipality. The aim is for public spaces to be in optimal condition for the enjoyment of residents.

This action is part of a broader plan to improve urban infrastructure that the Osuna Town Council has been developing, which now receives a boost from this provincial grant. The works will directly benefit families who use these leisure areas daily.

The project for San Arcadio Park, which would be financed with European funds, is one of the local government's priorities. Although specific dates have not yet been provided, the intention is for the works to begin as soon as possible once the administrative procedures are finalised.
