The Local Police of Alcalá de Guadaíra has filed judicial reports against 12 individuals and companies for alleged crimes against natural resources and the environment, and has processed sanctioning files against another 17 for uncontrolled dumping.
According to the Alcalá de Guadaíra City Council, these actions are the result of inspection and surveillance work carried out by the Local Police in industrial estates and the network of rural roads within the municipality. Collaboration with rural agents and local hunting reserve guards has been crucial in identifying those responsible.
In the criminal sphere, the reports were initiated after detecting accumulations of waste that, due to their volume, danger, or toxicity, posed a risk to the soil and the natural environment. These investigations have concluded with 12 individuals or companies being investigated for alleged crimes against natural resources and the environment.
At the same time, the administrative route has resulted in 17 individuals or companies being reported for uncontrolled dumping. To clarify the origin of the abandoned waste, the Local Police has relied on the video surveillance system of the industrial estates, citizen collaboration, and the involvement of local business owners.
The Delegation of Governance of the Alcalá City Council has highlighted the effectiveness of the collaboration framework between the Local Police Chief, business owners, rural environment agents, and reserve guards. The City Council reminds that the conservation of natural heritage is a priority and will continue to enhance this coordination to ensure compliance with environmental regulations throughout the municipality.
"Collaboration between the Chief, business owners, rural environment agents, and reserve guards is key to identifying offenders," municipal sources have stated.
These actions fall within the competencies of the Local Police for the protection of the natural and urban environment of Alcalá de Guadaíra. The administrative files have already been processed, while the judicial reports have been sent to the competent authority.
