The municipality joins Noche en Blanco for the first time with two free shows on October 2: contemporary dance at the Águila and a soundtrack concert at the Castle. Invitations can be reserved from Monday, September 21.

The Noche en Blanco of Seville celebrates its thirteenth edition and, for the first time, will include the participation of Alcalá de Guadaíra. The municipality joins this cultural event with two activities that will take place around the Santuario del Águila and at the Castle of Alcalá, as reported by the City Council.

The delegate for Culture, Heritage and Museums, Christopher Rivas, presented the local programme alongside the rest of the day's offerings, which will take place on October 2. In total, Noche en Blanco will bring together more than 140 cultural activities, both free and paid, promoted by 82 entities and venues in the capital of Seville and its metropolitan area. In addition to Alcalá de Guadaíra, the town of Carmona will also participate.

The first of the Alcalá proposals will take place at 20:30 hours in the esplanade of the Santuario del Águila. There, artist Laura Morales will perform the contemporary dance piece “A Duo”. This is a short format that aims to bring this theatrical language closer to the audience in a heritage space.

Later, at 21:30 hours, the Western Alcazabas of the Castle of Alcalá will host a joint concert by the two musical groups from the city. On one side, the Banda de Música Nuestra Señora del Águila, with more than 160 years of history; on the other, the Agrupación Musical Santísimo Cristo de la Bondad. Both will perform a repertoire focused on film soundtracks.

“We will accompany all this with projections on the walls of the Castle,” detailed Rivas during the presentation.

The councillor has valued Alcalá de Guadaíra's incorporation into this cultural circuit. “For Alcalá, it is good news to participate in Noche en Blanco, and that Alcalá will participate with two activities around the Águila and the Castle,” he pointed out. In the same vein, he expressed his hope that this first participation “will be the first of many more editions in which culture will also pave the way in the metropolitan area of Seville.”

To attend either of the two shows, a free invitation will be necessary. Tickets will be available through the City Council of Alcalá de Guadaíra website starting next Monday, September 21. The City Council has not specified the available capacity for each activity.
