The swimming team from Lebrija concluded its participation in the Provincial Sports Circuit of Swimming with five podium finishes at the final held on September 3 in Mairena del Alcor.
The swimming team from Lebrija has wrapped up its participation in the Provincial Sports Circuit of Swimming – Summer 2026 with a tally of five medals earned at the provincial final, which took place on Thursday, September 3 in Mairena del Alcor.
The competition, organised by the Provincial Council of Seville, took place during July and August across various municipalities in the province. In Group 3, around 150 swimmers from towns such as Arahal, Carmona, Marchena, Paradas, Mairena del Alcor, Utrera, El Cuervo, El Viso del Alcor, and Lebrija participated.
The Female Prebenjamín Relay Team, consisting of Lara García Galán, Aixa García Galán, Emma Tejero Elena, and Vida Romero Piñero, achieved 2nd place in the 4 x 25 meters freestyle and 3rd place in the 4 x 25 meters medley.
In individual categories, Emma Tejero Elena placed 3rd in 25 meters freestyle, while Aixa García Galán secured 2nd place in 25 meters breaststroke. Meanwhile, Marina García César, in the Alevín category, took 2nd place in 50 meters backstroke.
Lebrija had already hosted one of the qualifying rounds on August 23, while the other two were held in Paradas and Arahal. The provincial final brought together representatives from 36 municipalities in the province of Seville.
The circuit is fundamentally promotional, participatory, and educational, although the events are conducted according to swimming federation regulations.
The City Council of Lebrija has congratulated the local team for their achievements and highlighted the effort, perseverance, and dedication demonstrated throughout the season.
