Prodetur, COAG Sevilla and the City Council of Lebrija are organising a conference on September 29 at the Casa de la Cultura to inform farmers and ranchers about the new CAP and the digitalisation of their farms.

Farmers and ranchers in the province of Seville have an appointment on 29 September 2026 in Lebrija. That day, starting at 18:00 hours, the Casa de la Cultura, located at Tetuán, 15, will host the conference “Seville, current affairs of an agricultural and livestock province. Challenges and Objectives for the new CAP framework 2028-2034,” as reported by the organisers.

The initiative is driven by Prodetur, the Coordinating Organisation of Farmers and Ranchers of Seville (COAG Sevilla) and the City Council of Lebrija. The aim is to raise awareness of the new obligations brought by the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) and the digitalisation processes that are already affecting the daily management of farms.

The sector is facing a moment of change. Among these are the adaptation to the new CAP, the impact of climate change, rising costs, digitalisation, international competition, and the need for generational renewal. The conference aims to provide information, advice, and training to improve the competitiveness, sustainability, and viability of farms.

The programme will kick off at 18:00 hours with an institutional welcome. At 18:30 hours, the central presentation will begin, addressing topics such as support for the incorporation of young farmers, the CULTIVA programme (agricultural Erasmus), the implications for Seville of the new CAP framework 2028-2034, rural entrepreneurship and the first steps to start in agro-industry, as well as the Digital Farm Notebook and the fertilisation plan with updated regulations.

The event is aimed at entrepreneurs and businesspeople in the agricultural sector. At 20:00 hours, a dialogue and questions panel will open, followed by conclusions and closure.

Registrations can be formalised from 21 to 28 September 2026. For more information, interested parties can consult the short link provided by the organisation: https://acortar.link/iX9PQZ.
