The Municipal Pool of Lebrija will host the event that closes the summer season on Sunday, August 30. Registrations, which are free, will be open until Friday the 28th.

The Municipal Pool of Lebrija will be the venue next Sunday, August 30, starting at 18:30, for the "Ciudad de Lebrija 2026" Swimming Championship. The competition will mark the end of the summer swimming season and will bring together swimmers from the town and other municipalities in the region.

The registration period will remain open until Friday, August 28 and can be done for free at the municipal pool facilities. The Municipal Sports Board particularly encourages those who have participated in the summer swimming courses to take part, regardless of their level.

The programme includes several events, which will be held as long as the minimum number of participants is met: 50 metres freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly, as well as the 500 metres freestyle, the latter being the highlight of the day. The competition is aimed at the prebenjamin, benjamin, alevin, infant, cadet, and amateur categories, in both male and female divisions.

The championship has established itself as a unique sporting event in the province and usually features the participation of swimmers from other localities in the region. For the participants, it represents an opportunity to enjoy the experience of competing and to put into practice what they have learned during the season.

At the end of the events, medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each event and category. The Town Hall of Lebrija and the Municipal Sports Board invite the public to participate and enjoy this sporting day that will mark the end of the summer swimming season.
