The Municipal Sports Board of Lebrija opens registration for the 15 modalities of the Municipal Sports Schools on Friday, September 25, with a single fee of 13 euros.
Schoolchildren from Lebrija aged 3 to 16 years can formalise their enrolment in the Municipal Sports Schools starting from Friday, September 25. The process takes place at the offices of the Youth House, in the morning from 9:00 to 14:00 and in the afternoon from 18:00 to 20:00.
The registration fee is a single amount: 13 euros. The activities will start on October 13 and will run until the end of April 2027, offering seven months of programming that combines sports initiation and education in values.
This year's offer for the 2026/27 course includes 15 disciplines: chess, athletics, sports dancing, basketball, MTB cycling, rhythmic gymnastics, Nordic walking, skating, canoeing, pre-sport, psychomotricity, taekwondo, tennis, table tennis, and volleyball. In total, 30 qualified instructors coordinate the activities.
The programme is not new. The municipal schools have been operating in the locality for over 30 years and last year nearly reached a thousand participants. Nordic walking has been incorporated in recent years for all ages, expanding an offer that often serves as the first contact for children with sports.
Behind each modality, there is a local club. Up to 13 entities collaborate with the Board: Chess Club Celada, Athletics Club Lebrija, Batuka Club Lebrija, Tartessos Basketball Club, Cycling Club Lebrija, Rhythmic Gymnastics Club Lebrija, Tirapalante Club, Tarfia Canoeing Club, Multi-sports Club Lebrija, Know Taekwondo Club, Tennis Club Lebrija, Friends of Table Tennis Club, and Lebrija Volleyball Club. Their instructors are responsible for coordinating the sessions with the support of the Municipal Sports Board.
The programme is held at the Municipal Sports Centre, the schools C.E.I.P. Cristo Rey, C.E.I.P. José Cortines Pacheco, and C.E.I.P. El Recreo, the Adult Centre, and natural spaces in Lebrija. The variety of facilities and schedules allows each discipline to be adapted to the ages and needs of the participants.
For families, registration can be completed in a single visit to the Youth House from September 25. The course begins on October 13 and ends in April 2027.
