The University School of Osuna has presented the XXXIII edition of its Autumn Courses, which will start on September 28 with a course on housing and will run until November. The program includes eight courses on topics such as Alzheimer’s, psychology, inclusive education, and entrepreneurship.
The University School of Osuna presented this morning at the CREAR University Campus the XXXIII edition of its Autumn Courses, a program that brings together eight training and academic proposals on issues of social, educational, economic, and institutional interest. The event was attended by the municipal delegate for the University from the Osuna City Council and vice president of the Francisco Maldonado Public Foundation for University Studies, Jesús Heredia, and the managing director of the University School of Osuna, Carlos Chavarría.
Heredia highlighted the diversity of content in this new edition and emphasized the importance of the institution continuing to provide spaces for training, reflection, and knowledge exchange. He also thanked the support of the Seville Provincial Council, which has collaborated for several years through a specific program for the universities in the province, as well as the collaboration of the Osuna City Council, which provides facilities and logistical and promotional support, and the Ministry of Defence.
The program addresses areas such as housing, Alzheimer’s and other dementias, psychology and personal well-being, inclusive education and human rights, human resources and corporate communication, entrepreneurship and the university, and the challenges and transformations of Europe.
The managing director, Carlos Chavarría, explained that a total of eight courses have been scheduled, with diverse themes linked to the territory and the various degrees and specialties offered by the institution.
The calendar will kick off on September 28 and 29 with “Housing, between rights and the market”, led by Juan Carlos Campo Moreno, magistrate of the Constitutional Court. Throughout October, other proposals will take place: on October 8, “Understanding Alzheimer’s and other dementias: detection, assessment, and intervention”, led by Pepa Medina, nurse from AFA Osuna; on October 20, “Positive psychology in action: resources for personal well-being”, presented by the dean of the Faculty of Psychology at the University of Seville, David Saldaña; on October 21, “Open classrooms to the world: intercultural dialogue, human rights, and resources for an inclusive school”, led by María Puig Gutiérrez, dean of the Faculty of Education Sciences at the University of Seville; and on October 28, “Current psychology for everyday life: keys to understanding, caring for, and relating better”, led by Juan Pablo Sobrino Toro and José María León Rubio.
The program also includes “Entrepreneurial ecosystem, universities, and entrepreneurial performance”, which will take place on October 26 and 28 under the direction of José L. Galán González and Antonio Leal Millán. Additionally, on November 17 and 24, “The Europe to come: policies for a transforming world” will be held, directed by Jesús Heredia Carroza and Thomas Zachariewicz. This is complemented by the course “Security horizons: Spain facing global challenges”, the date of which is yet to be confirmed.
