The Culture delegate, Jesús Heredia, has presented the programme for the Municipal Theatre Álvarez Quintero for October, November, and December 2026, featuring 17 proposals of theatre, dance, circus, music, flamenco, carnival, magic, and children's shows. Collaboration with the Diputación de Sevilla allows for the inclusion of national companies and the Jazz Festival.
The Municipal Theatre Álvarez Quintero in Osuna will host a total of 17 activities between October and December 2026. The programme includes theatre, dance, circus, music, flamenco, carnival, magic, and children's shows, as well as Christmas proposals. This was announced by the municipal Culture delegate, Jesús Heredia, alongside the manager of the Culture Area, José Luis Cecilia.
Heredia expressed gratitude for the support of the Diputación de Sevilla, which has enabled Osuna to join the third phase of its provincial cultural programme. According to the delegate, this has represented "a significant qualitative leap for Osuna's cultural programming, allowing for the hiring of different and higher-level shows within the realm of performing arts."

The delegate emphasised the growth of the theatre programme, which will allow for the reception of nationally relevant companies touring Spain. He invited both the residents of Osuna and the public from the region and visitors to enjoy these proposals.
Osuna will participate for the third consecutive year in the International Jazz Festival in the Province of Sevilla, an initiative that Heredia considers "fully consolidated." Although the names of the artists cannot yet be revealed pending the official presentation by the Diputación, the delegate hinted that they are nationally renowned musicians with proposals that will surprise the audience.
The new theatre season will kick off with the Carnival Festival, organised by the Cultural Carnival Association La 3x4 in collaboration with the Osuna Town Hall. Heredia highlighted the participation of residents, associations, and local artists, "who have contributed to making both the theatre and the cultural programming of Osuna their own."
Since the opening of the Municipal Theatre Álvarez Quintero in October 2024, the accumulated attendance is around 30,000 people. The delegate clarified that this figure refers to the number of attendees, not necessarily the number of tickets sold, as the venue also hosts free activities and other events.
For Heredia, these figures reflect the social and cultural impact of the theatre in Osuna and the surrounding area, and he described the facility as "the cultural flag" of the locality, which he considers "the capital of culture in the region."
The Culture manager, José Luis Cecilia, highlighted the variety of the proposal and the collaboration of the Diputación de Sevilla. Osuna participates at level 3 of programme 107, the maximum level for municipalities with more than 20,000 inhabitants or with adequate infrastructure to host such shows.
Regarding the stage programming, Cecilia noted that there will be first-rate national companies and productions recognised with awards. Among them, Wendy also flies, awarded a Lorca Prize in 2025, as well as proposals like The diary of the regañá killer, Silver Bird, and the dramatic comedy Two sisters, "very sought-after works currently present in various listings."
