The Sevilla Provincial Council has opened the call for accommodation grants for the 2026-2027 academic year, with aid of up to 4,000 euros for students from Osuna and other municipalities who need to travel more than 40 km to pursue higher education.
Students from Osuna who need to change residence to attend university or a higher vocational training course can now apply for the new accommodation grants from the Sevilla Provincial Council. The call, endowed with 1.2 million euros, offers aid of up to 4,000 euros per beneficiary to cover accommodation expenses during the 2026-2027 academic year.
Requirements to access the aid
The main condition is that the student's family home is at least 40 kilometres away from the educational centre where they enrol. Additionally, both the family residence and the educational centre must be located within the province of Sevilla. The aid is aimed at undergraduate students, higher vocational training, and other official higher education courses in public centres.
The maximum age to apply for the grant varies depending on the year: 22 years for first year, 23 for second year, and 24 for third year, with reference taken from 1 January 2026. Students who were beneficiaries in the previous academic year can renew the aid if they maintain the socioeconomic conditions and demonstrate a minimum performance of 50% of the approved credits.
New features of the call
This year, a key new feature is the inclusion of the possibility to apply for aid for those enrolling for the first time in third year. The council aims to promote equal opportunities and prevent economic circumstances or distance from being an obstacle to education.
The grants are awarded on a competitive basis and are incompatible with other subsidies for the same purpose. The maximum individual amount is 4,000 euros, which will be paid after the final resolution.
