The Umbrete Town Council has announced the launch of F3 category fireworks over four days in September to celebrate the Triduum and solemn function in honour of Our Lady of Sorrows, organised by the Sacramental Brotherhood.
The Sacramental Brotherhood of Umbrete has requested the Town Council to launch F3 category fireworks in the municipality. The request is based on the non-fiscal ordinance number 40, which regulates the handling and use of fireworks in the locality.
The reason is the Triduum and the solemn function in honour of Our Lady of Sorrows, which will be held on those days. The fireworks will be spread over four days.
On September 12, 13, and 15, the launches will take place between 19:00 and 21:00. On September 14, the time frame will be extended by one hour, until 22:00.
All fireworks will be launched from the Padre Leonardo Castillo square, in the urban area of Umbrete. This is stated in the information released by the Town Council.
The municipal ordinance regulating these activities requires identifying the person or entity requesting it, the reason, the schedule, and the exact location, requirements that the Sacramental Brotherhood has fulfilled to obtain the authorisation.
Local residents should be aware that detonations and noise will occur during those evenings, especially around the Padre Leonardo Castillo square. It is recommended to keep pets away and to exercise caution with children and those sensitive to loud noises.
The schedule is finalised with these four days. Any changes to the schedule or location would require a new municipal communication.
