The town hall of Lebrija reports a positive balance for the Fair and Patronal Festivities, held from September 8 to 12, with no significant incidents and wide citizen participation.
The Fair and Patronal Festivities of Lebrija came to a close on Saturday, September 12, with a positive balance and no significant incidents, according to the local town hall. The Fairgrounds once again served as a meeting point for residents and visitors during four days marked by community spirit.
The lighting ceremony on Tuesday, September 8, kicked off a programme that unfolded smoothly and included musical, cultural, and leisure activities for all audiences. The Municipal Tent hosted performances, shows, comedy, and DJ sessions, while the amusement park and parallel activities allowed families to enjoy the Fair together.
Among the initiatives of this edition, those aimed at children stood out, such as the Children's Day, parades, and family shows, and for the first time, children's fire bulls. A daily time slot without music was also maintained in the amusement park to accommodate individuals with heightened sensitivity to noise.
The town hall emphasises the general behaviour of the citizens and the collaboration of tents, professionals, groups, and municipal services involved in the organisation.
"I thank the work done by the various services that worked during these days to ensure the proper functioning of the celebration and the development of the scheduled activities," says the Festivities delegate, Alberto Pérez.
The day of Our Lady of the Crowned Castle was once again one of the central moments of the Patronal Festivities, featuring the traditional Main Function and the subsequent procession of the Patroness of Lebrija.
During the Fair, a campaign was also launched to support the local floriculture sector with the distribution of 20,000 carnations, a flower linked to the identity and economic activity of the city.
The final day brought news that will be associated with this edition: on Saturday, September 12, the luck of the National Lottery arrived in Lebrija with the number from the Brotherhood of the Gypsies, which won a prize and had been sold at the Lottery Administration number 1 Virgen del Castillo in the locality. This event added another reason for celebration to the closing of the festivities.
The town hall of Lebrija thanks all citizens for their participation and collaboration during these days, as well as those who visited the town and all the groups, tents, workers, and professionals who contributed to the development of the Fair.
