The Sevillian town of Tomares continues its open-air cinema cycle at the Patio de las Buganvillas at the Hacienda Santa Ana, the seat of the Town Hall. This Tuesday, August 11, starting at 22:00, 'Superman', the new adaptation of the DC Comics superhero, will be screened.
The session is part of a programme that runs every Tuesday in July and August. Following the July premiere with titles such as 'How to Train Your Dragon', 'Wild Robot', 'The Big House' or 'Jurassic World: The Rebirth', the August schedule continues with 'Mission Impossible: Final Sentence' on the 18th and 'Sketch' on the 25th of August.
The cycle, organised by the Town Hall, revives the spirit of the historic Cinema Tomares, which operated for 60 years at 50 Navarro Caro Street, from 1964 to 2024. Founded by Rafael Cansino Vega and later directed by his son, Rafael Cansino Pérez, that cinema screened thousands of films that marked several generations of locals.
To keep that legacy alive, since last summer the Hacienda Santa Ana has hosted these screenings every Tuesday in a unique setting. Entry is free until full capacity, and the venue has a snack bar where refreshments, tapas, and traditional popcorn can be purchased.
