The Sevillian municipality of Tomares will host the International Festival 'Fai un Sol' for the third consecutive year, taking place from September 25 to 27 in the Jardines del Conde with free entry.
The Town Hall of Tomares and the Lar Gallego de Sevilla have renewed their collaboration to bring back the VIII International Festival 'Fai un Sol', which will be held from September 25 to 27 in the Jardines del Conde. This event, now in its third edition in Tomares, will turn the municipality into a meeting point between Galician culture and Andalusia.
The festival, promoted by the Xunta de Galicia alongside the Lar Gallego de Sevilla and the Town Hall of Tomares, will take place under the slogan 'XACOBEO:27 - A Path Through Galician Culture' and will preview the spirit of Xacobeo 2027. The organisation hopes to replicate the success of previous editions, which have featured prominent groups in the Jardines del Conde.
The programme will kick off on Friday, September 25 with a school concert by the Irish group The Craic Addicts at 12:00 in the Rafael de León Municipal Auditorium.
On Saturday 26, activities will begin at 12:00 with a parade. At 13:00, the company Lunátika will present the children's theatre 'Mamá Gallina'. Half an hour later, at 14:00, there will be a session of Dances of the World featuring Nuno Carpinteiro, Ana Lourenzo, and Fátima Monteiro. In the afternoon, at 18:00, DJ Pedro will play world music.
The main concerts will start at 19:30 with the Sevillian band Stolen Notes, winners of the Ortigueira Festival. At 21:00, the Irish group The Craic Addicts will perform, and at 22:45, the Galician group Fillas de Cassandra will close the night.
On Sunday 27, the final touch will be provided by the street circus show Manu & Melón at 13:00, followed by the closing concert at 14:00 by The Great Peach (Electro Folk Live Session), featuring Salvador Daza and Juan Almara.
In addition to music, the festival will feature a craft market, bar, pulpeira, and Galician grill, as well as other surprises and children's activities for family enjoyment. Entry will be free for all attendees.
