The Jardines del Conde hosts the VIII International Fai un Sol Festival for the third year, with free entry and a programme that includes concerts, parades, theatre, and Galician cuisine.
The Town Hall of Tomares and the Lar Gallego de Sevilla have organised the eighth edition of the International Fai un Sol Festival, which will take place from Friday, September 25 to Sunday, September 27 in the Jardines del Conde. The event, which is supported by the Xunta de Galicia, arrives under the slogan “Xacobeo 27 - A path through Galician culture” and will be free for all attendees.
This event, which marks its third consecutive year in the municipality, is part of the Cultural Autumn 2026 programme of Tomares, which includes over 50 events. The festival will transform the gardens into a space dedicated to Celtic music, folklore, crafts, and Galician cuisine, featuring a pulpeira and grill to taste typical products.
The programme will kick off on Friday, September 25 at 12:00 PM with a school concert by the Irish group The Craic Addicts at the Rafael de León Municipal Auditorium. This performance is aimed at the educational centres of the municipality.
On Saturday, 26, activities will begin at 12:00 PM with a bagpipe parade through Tomares. At 1:00 PM, the company Lunátika will present the children’s theatre “Mamá Gallina” in the Jardines del Conde. In the afternoon, at 2:00 PM, there will be a world dance session with Nuno Carpinteiro, Ana Lourenzo, and Fátima Monteiro, and at 6:00 PM, DJ Pedro will provide world music.
The main concerts on Saturday will start at 7:30 PM with the Seville band Stolen Notes, winners of the Ortigueira Festival. At 9:00 PM, the Irish group The Craic Addicts will perform, and at 10:45 PM, the day will be closed by Fillas de Cassandra, a Galician group with great potential.
On Sunday, 27, the family street circus show Manu & Melón will open the day at 1:00 PM. As a grand finale, at 2:00 PM, The Great Peach (Electro Folk Live Session) with Salvador Daza and Juan Almara will conclude the festival.
The event, which hopes to replicate the success of previous editions, presents an opportunity for the residents of Tomares and Aljarafe to enjoy Galician culture without leaving the province. The organisation recommends checking the municipal website for any last-minute updates.
