The former leader of Gabinete Caligari performed on Thursday at the Municipal Pavilion of Tomares before hundreds of people, in a night that also featured Serva Labari and the Sugar Orchestra.
The musician Jaime Urrutia, historic vocalist of Gabinete Caligari, performed this past Thursday 3rd September at the Municipal Pavilion of the Tomares Fair. The artist, currently on a tour across Spain, played some of the songs that marked a generation, such as Cuatro rosas, La culpa fue del cha-cha-chá, and Camino Soria, before hundreds of locals and visitors.
This event was part of the festive programming of the municipality, which in previous editions has already brought other figures from the Madrid movement of the eighties, such as Javier Gurruchaga with the Orquesta Mondragón, Los Secretos, Danza Invisible, La Guardia, and Mikel Erentxun from Duncan Dhu. With Urrutia, Tomares added another of the great names of Spanish pop-rock, considered a reference of the so-called castizo and torero rock.
Before the concert, the day began with the Caseta Contest, whose winner for the best decorated will be announced this Friday 4th September at 16:00 hours during the awards gala. The evening opened with the local group Serva Labari, who got the audience dancing with their rumbas, flamenquito, and sevillanas, the same tunes that were successfully played at the past April Fair. The night was closed by the Sugar Orchestra.
The Tomares Fair continues this Friday with a performance by Siempre Así, while on Saturday 5th September the arrival of David Civera and Peterpunk & The Diablo Band is scheduled. The performances take place in the fairgrounds of the municipality, accessible to all audiences.
