The Olivares Town Hall launches a Comprehensive Surveillance and Traffic Control System with 30 cameras at 22 locations and a Control Centre managed by the Local Police.
The first phase of the new Comprehensive Surveillance and Traffic Control System of Olivares is now taking shape: 30 cameras distributed across 22 strategic locations in the municipality and a Control Centre (CeCo) that the Local Police will use to monitor in real-time the points included in this initiative.
The Olivares Town Hall has explained that the project incorporates surveillance cameras, vehicle identification systems, and tools for speed control. With these resources, the Council aims to enhance public and road safety, as well as improve traffic management and mobility within the municipality.
The new control centre will allow officers to access updated information about various points in the town and respond more quickly to potential incidents. According to the Town Hall, this infrastructure will also help optimise the resources of the Local Police and better plan municipal actions related to safety and traffic.
This initiative does not end with this first phase. The Council integrates it into a Framework Project of greater scope, designed to define the needs of Olivares regarding safety and mobility in the medium and long term. The idea is to progressively incorporate new technological solutions adapted to the reality of the municipality.
The Town Hall has emphasised that the ultimate goal is to have more resources to protect residents, promote safer circulation, and improve response capacity to traffic-related situations. The implementation of this system is part of the digital transformation process of municipal services.
The Council will detail in the coming weeks the various actions that make up the project, explaining the elements involved and the roles they will play within the new comprehensive security and traffic control system.
