The Sun Gines Campus, which is celebrating its 11th anniversary, has closed the first half of July with 200 users. There are still places available for August and the last days of July.
The Sun Gines Campus, the municipal summer reconciliation initiative, has surpassed the midpoint of summer with 200 children registered in its eleventh edition. Currently, 180 participants aged between 2 and 15 years (born between 2011 and 2022) are enjoying educational, sports, and leisure activities at the Gines sports centre.
Reconciliation and values during extended hours
The campus, which started in June and will run until September 6, opens from Monday to Friday from 7:30 to 16:00. It offers up to four time slots to accommodate family needs. The specialised monitors work on values such as art, cinema, and theatre, in addition to promoting physical activity to combat sedentary lifestyles.
“It is an ideal option for reconciling family and work life during the summer,” municipal sources state.
Participants also enjoy refreshing swims in the pool and traditional games. The older children have made trips to Seville and the Aquarium, combining fun and learning.
Places available for August
There are still free places for the last days of July and for the month of August. Interested families can register through the website www.deportesgines.es, at the Sports Centre (C/ Virgen del Pilar s/n), or by calling the phone number 601 00 66 15.
With 11 years of experience, the Sun Gines Campus has established itself as a key resource for families in the area, offering an active and safe summer for the little ones. Demand remains high, but the organisers are confident in accommodating all applicants.
