The Gines Town Hall has presented the 18th edition of 'Una Pará en Gines' at the Real Alcázar in Seville, which will take place from October 1 to 4 with over 50 activities and free entry.
The Pará 2026 of Gines now has a date: from October 1 to 4. The official presentation took place this Wednesday at the Real Alcázar de Sevilla, next to the Puerta de Marchena, with a large turnout of the public, representatives from sponsoring entities, and well-known faces from the entertainment industry.
The event, presented by Carmen Mora, featured remarks from Juan Bueno, First Deputy Mayor of the Seville Town Hall and Vice President of the Real Alcázar Board, who thanked the Gines Town Hall and its mayor for choosing the Alcázar for the event's unveiling.
The artist Nuria Bellido, the poster designer for this edition, explained that her work aims to highlight the activity from which it originated, the Championship of Yuntas and Carreteros, and expressed gratitude for the warm reception of the poster since its presentation.
Javier Villa, representative of 'We Love Flamenco by La Pará', emphasized the Gines Town Hall's commitment to flamenco fashion and the quality of the creations that will be showcased on the runway, for which over 1,000 invitations have already been distributed in a single day.
The Senior Brother of the Hermandad del Rocío de Gines, José María Villadiego, referred to the municipal corporations and the brothers who have supported La Pará since its inception, highlighting the welcome that the Brotherhood offers to visitors during the event.
Millán Herce, Vice President of ANCCE, stated that the morphological competition in Gines is one of the most important and best-organized contests in the circuit, with a high level of participating specimens and around 50 breeders this year.
The mayor of Gines, Romualdo Garrido, highlighted that La Pará "is something that was born from the people, which the people themselves turned into a collective triumph and now understand as something their own."
"It has been 10 years of a brutal journey trying to 'wake up' from a true nightmare caused by those who sought not only to end La Pará but to tarnish its name, that of a Town Hall and the human team working from it, and that of an entire town."
Garrido concluded by thanking the sponsors and collaborators of these 18 years and invited all of Seville to enjoy the new edition.
The musical finale featured Paco Candela, Manguara, Lubricán, and Cristian Guerrero, participants in the rociera nights, joined by Agustín Camino from the group Amigos de Gines, to perform several songs that concluded with 'La vuelta del camino' (The pines of the Coto are crying).
The 18th edition will be inaugurated on Thursday, October 1 at 8:30 PM by the mayor, Romualdo Garrido, and other local and provincial authorities. The opening event will be presented by model and entrepreneur Laura Sánchez, who will introduce the second edition of the 'We Love Flamenco by La Pará' fashion show, featuring up to 27 brands from the sector, with the opening by local designer Alberto Mattey.
Following this, there will be a ceremonial visit to the Agroganadera and Commercial Fair, which is once again held alongside La Pará and offers participating companies a showcase for the exhibition and sale of their products and services.
The program will continue at 10:00 PM with the equestrian display of the Yeguada Cartuja Hierro del Bocado, titled 'Five centuries of history of the Cartujano Horse'. On the same day, the Morfofunctional Competition of Purebred Spanish Horses 'Ciudad de Gines', approved by ANCCE, classified as three stars and qualifying for the World Championship of SICAB 2026, will commence.
On Friday the 2nd, the day will begin in the morning with a visit from local schoolchildren, who will learn firsthand everything the event has to offer.
