The Equality delegation of the Gines Town Hall is launching a new reading club dedicated to ‘Las Sinsombrero’, the group of artists and intellectuals from the Generation of '27. The first session will be on October 26.
The Equality delegation of the Gines Town Hall has initiated a new reading club that will pay tribute to ‘Las Sinsombrero’, the group of female thinkers, writers, and artists from the Generation of '27. The initiative aims to rescue from oblivion the figure and work of these authors, who used words as tools for commitment and social transformation.
Under the slogan ‘Reading them is remembering them’, the activity is designed as a space for meeting, debate, and historical reparation to place these creators in their rightful place in the history of Spanish literature.
The workshop will kick off on October 26 with an opening session. From then on, meetings will be held monthly on the last Monday of each month at 18:00.
The meetings will take place in person at the Municipal Centre for Women's Information (CMIM), located at 10 Sevilla Street, Gines.
Those interested in participating can register by sending an email to centrodelamujergines@aytogines.es. The activity is open to all residents who wish to join this reading and cultural exchange journey.
