A total of 120 residents of Gines set off this Thursday towards Urbasur beach, in Islantilla (Huelva), for the fourth outing of the summer programme 'Los Jueves al Sol'.

The municipal initiative 'Los Jueves al Sol' completed its fourth summer destination this Thursday with an excursion to Urbasur beach, in Islantilla (Huelva). Two buses with 120 residents from Gines departed from the town to spend a day of swimming and leisure on the Huelva coast.

The programme, organised by the Gines Town Hall, aims to bring coastal destinations closer to residents in a comfortable and economical way. Each trip includes round-trip bus transport, and the price per person is 8 euros, with reduced rates of 7 euros for unemployed individuals, retirees, and large families, upon presentation of documentation.

The activity, which has become one of the most sought-after of the summer, will continue throughout August. Next Thursday, August 6, participants will head to La Victoria beach in Cádiz. This will be followed by El Palmar (Cádiz) on August 13, Punta Umbría (Huelva) on the 20th, and Barbate (Cádiz) on the 27th of August, as a grand finale.

Registrations for each outing are made at the Casa del Mayor, located in Plaza de España, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, on the Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays prior to the excursion, until places are filled. A maximum of five registrations per person is allowed.

The Town Hall reminds that minors must be accompanied by an adult, with a limit of five minors per adult. The initiative aims to facilitate access to the beach for all residents, especially those who do not have their own vehicle or prefer to avoid car travel.

With this fourth outing, 'Los Jueves al Sol' 2026 has already seen nearly 500 participants in the excursions held to date, reflecting the warm reception of a programme that has become a summer classic in Gines.
