The new territorial delegate of Agriculture in Seville, Alberto Sanromán, visited Lora del Río on Wednesday, where he was received by the mayor, Antonio Enamorado, and the councillor for Agriculture, Federico Cuevas.

The new territorial delegate of Agriculture in Seville, Alberto Sanromán, made his first official visit to Lora del Río on Wednesday, August 5. The mayor of the municipality, Antonio Enamorado, and the councillor-delegate for Agriculture, Federico Cuevas Cuevas, were responsible for welcoming him at the Town Hall.

During the meeting, Sanromán expressed interest in the projects that the Ministry of Agriculture of the Junta de Andalucía currently has underway in the Vega del Guadalquivir locality. Other initiatives that could be developed in the future in the municipality were also discussed.

The visit served to strengthen collaboration between the Lora del Río City Council and the new territorial direction of Agriculture, which faces the challenge of boosting the agricultural sector in the province. In Lora del Río, agriculture is a key economic pillar, with crops such as olive groves and citrus fruits being the main references.

The Town Hall has positively assessed this first contact, which opens the door to future joint lines of work. The meeting focused on the files and works being carried out by the Junta in the area, as well as the needs of the local primary sector.

The territorial delegate, who recently assumed the position, has shown his willingness to address the demands of the municipalities in Seville. In Lora del Río, the next action planned by the Ministry is the improvement of rural roads, a long-standing demand from the farmers in the region.

The mayor, Antonio Enamorado, thanked the visit and conveyed to the delegate the municipality's agricultural priorities. The mayor highlighted the need to expedite aid and to promote the modernization of irrigation systems, an issue that directly affects the profitability of local farms.

The visit concluded with a commitment to maintain a fluid communication channel between both administrations. The next meeting could be held at the delegation's headquarters in Seville, where the matters discussed will be continued.
