The La Rinconada City Council has been honoured by the Andalusian Swimming Federation during its annual gala, held in Dos Hermanas, for its support of aquatic sports. The Sports delegate, Francisco Rodríguez, received the award.
The Andalusian Swimming Federation (FAN) has recognised the La Rinconada City Council for its commitment to aquatic sports during the gala that the entity held last Saturday at the City of Knowledge in Dos Hermanas. The event served to reward athletes and entities for their achievements of the season and to kick off the new course.
The Sports delegate, Francisco Rodríguez, was responsible for collecting the distinction, accompanied by the president of the Club Unión Natación Rinconada (CNUR), Javier Montero. The gala brought together representatives from clubs, institutions, athletes, and entities linked to Andalusian swimming.
Rodríguez highlighted the municipality's satisfaction with the award and the words dedicated to them by the president of the FAN, Rafael Carmona.
"For us, it is a pleasure to be here and receive this distinction. I found the words dedicated to us by Rafael Carmona, president of the FAN, very beautiful when he spoke of us as a municipality that protects and supports swimming like few others, and for us, it is a satisfaction to be seen this way by the federation."
The recognition underscores the ongoing work of the council in recent years, which has contributed to the growth of this sporting discipline in the municipality. The Municipal Covered Pool of La Rinconada is the physical headquarters of the FAN in the province of Seville, reinforcing the bond between the locality and the regional federation.
The local club, the CNUR, is one of the most prestigious in the province. Its president, Javier Montero, valued the award as a boost for the residents and athletes.
"It is a good way to recognise all those of us who collaborate with this sport and a way to encourage residents and athletes to grow and carry the name of La Rinconada throughout Andalusia and Spain."
The distinction arrives at the beginning of the new swimming season, which starts with this event held in Dos Hermanas.
