The rider from La Rinconada, Gonzalo Romero, has once again demonstrated his level in the national aggressive skating scene. Last weekend, the Onda Summer Contest, one of the national and international benchmark events for roller freestyle, took place at the municipal skatepark of Onda in Castellón, where the young athlete achieved a commendable third place.
At just 12 years old, Romero competed in the junior category, which includes participants aged 11 to 16 years, facing rivals older than himself. His performance allowed him to reach the podium and confirm that his leap into the national and international arena is already a reality.
This result comes after an upward trajectory in which the rider from La Rinconada had already stood out in regional competitions. Now, his name is starting to resonate strongly in the national roller freestyle circuit, a sport that is gaining followers among the youth.
The event in Onda brought together riders and skaters from various categories from all over Spain and other countries, adding merit to the achievement of the athlete from La Rinconada, who continues to establish himself as one of the great Andalusian promises in the discipline.
