La Zahurdilla park in Las Pajanosas hosts this Saturday, 26th September, the fourth edition of 'The Enchanted Route', a hiking escape room with 1,200 participants. The event, organised by the Guillena Town Hall, takes place a day before World Tourism Day.
The Tourism and Heritage Department of the Guillena Town Hall is finalising preparations for the fourth edition of 'The Enchanted Route', which will take place this Saturday, 26th September at La Zahurdilla park in Las Pajanosas. The initiative, now in its fourth year, has gathered around 1,200 registered participants, divided into teams.
The project was born three years ago within the municipal area from an original idea by Rubén Rodríguez and has the collaboration of the Hijos del Viento Athletics Club. This time, the route is titled 'The Awakening of Arbórea's Memory'.
Participants will cover a distance of between 3.5 and 4 kilometres, with an elevation gain of 70-80 metres and medium technical difficulty. The route features changes from last year.
The activity is designed as an escape room: the goal is to find a six-digit code that leads to the location where the treasure is hidden. To achieve this, teams must overcome challenges at 11 points distributed throughout the park, and at each one, they will obtain a digit of the code.
Each location represents a different world, such as Celestia, Nocturnia, or Luminaria, inhabited by fantastic beings (fairies, gnomes, trolls). These characters will provide the necessary clues to complete the code. The organisation will provide each team with a backpack containing the necessary materials for the route.
The route on 26th September will be theatricalised, featuring the fantastic beings that inhabit the magical forest. Additionally, everyone who comes to La Zahurdilla can enjoy workshops from 6 PM such as Magic Wand, Secret Potion, Flower Crown, or Magic Stones, as well as face painting, entertainment, music with a DJ, food trucks, and a refreshment service.
