The Town Hall of Estepa has presented the new network of tourist signage, consisting of 112 elements including signs, totems, and panels, funded by Next Generation funds.
The Sevillian municipality of Estepa has unveiled a new network of tourist signage composed of 112 elements this Thursday, an initiative framed within the Sustainable Tourism Plan and funded by Next Generation European funds and the Government of Spain. The presentation was led by the mayor, Antonio Jesús Muñoz, and the Councillor for Tourism, Ascensión Castillo.
The new signage includes 21 urban directional signs with three trays, 16 with one tray, the renewal of 24 obsolete trays, 11 identifying totems for bus stops standing 2.5 meters tall, 10 wrought iron monopoles with bilingual plates, and 30 informative panels featuring illustrations of local heritage.
The mayor highlighted that "we continue to leverage European funds to transform Estepa and make it more attractive for those who visit us." In this regard, he emphasized that better signage "facilitates mobility around the city and helps strengthen one of the sectors with the greatest potential for economic development for our municipality."
For her part, the Councillor for Tourism noted that this initiative "not only improves visitor orientation but also projects a renewed, orderly, and coherent image of Estepa as a quality tourist destination."
The works have been strategically distributed across various points in the urban area, with special attention to access to the main monuments and places of interest. Among the installed elements are 11 bus stop totems in ruby red, which facilitate the identification of stops and provide a distinctive visual element.
Additionally, 30 bilingual informative panels have been placed featuring illustrations of the main architectural and heritage elements of Estepa, allowing visitors to better understand the surroundings while exploring the city.
This initiative is part of a broader plan that includes various initiatives to promote a more modern, accessible, and sustainable tourism model. With this renewal, residents and visitors now have clearer and more uniform signage.
The Town Hall of Estepa continues to advance in the implementation of the measures outlined in the Sustainable Tourism Plan, which aims to consolidate tourism based on sustainability, accessibility, and innovation.
The new signage represents a significant improvement for the daily lives of the people of Estepa, who now have more precise orientation in their usual movements. It also benefits local businesses and hospitality establishments by facilitating the flow of visitors through commercial and leisure areas.
With this investment, Estepa reinforces its position as a year-round tourist destination, highlighting its rich historical, cultural, and monumental heritage. The works have been carried out with durable and low-maintenance materials designed to withstand the elements.
The presentation took place at a public event where some of the new elements were showcased. Interested parties can consult the details of the initiative on the municipal website, where the technical information of the installed elements has been published.
