The Los Palacios and Villafranca Town Hall will carry out improvement works at the Marismas and San Sebastián stadiums. The actions aim to keep facilities in good condition that are used daily by the clubs in the municipality.
The works will have different scopes at each venue. At the Marismas stadium, a refurbishment will include the repair and renovation of stands, walls and structures, as well as the painting of facades, access points, doors and fences.
At the same field, a complete renovation of two toilets and the installation of new doors will complete the package. At the San Sebastián stadium, the work will focus on the conditioning and painting of walls and fences, which the Town Hall will carry out with its own resources.
According to the municipal sports delegate, Chari Parejo, both venues will also have new scoreboards and a renewal of their decoration.
Parejo justifies the interventions due to the daily use of the facilities, which welcome hundreds of children, young people and athletes from various clubs in the municipality. Keeping them in good condition, according to the delegate, is part of the local sports policy, which is not limited to organising competitions or building new facilities.
The works add to other actions already carried out at both fields: the renewal of lighting, as well as the irrigation systems and perimeter drains that the municipal government had decreed.
“When we invest in sports, we are also investing in education, health, coexistence and the future of our town,” stated Chari Parejo.
The delegate insisted that the municipal government will continue to address the needs of the clubs and improve public facilities so that athletes of all ages can train in the best conditions.
