EU citizens residing in Aznalcázar have until 30 December 2026 to express their intention to vote in the 2027 local elections. There are two ways, online or at the Town Hall.
Citizens of the European Union living in Aznalcázar who meet the same requirements as Spaniards to be voters can vote in the local elections on 23 May 2027, provided they express their intention before the deadline. The Electoral Centre Office has published the announcement to form the Electoral Register of Foreign Residents in Spain (CERE).
For EU nationals, the expression of intention to vote can be done online, through the electronic headquarters of the National Institute of Statistics (INE), with a Cl@ve certificate. However, the INE must already have the Foreign Identification Number (NIE) registered in the Central Register of Foreigners.
The other option is in person, at the Town Hall of Aznalcázar. You must submit the formal declaration form model CERE.DFA along with proof of identity. The deadline for EU citizens ends on 30 December 2026.
Other foreigners can vote in the local elections if they are nationals of countries with a reciprocity agreement: Bolivia, Cape Verde, Chile, Colombia, South Korea, Ecuador, Iceland, Norway, New Zealand, Paraguay, Peru, United Kingdom, and Trinidad and Tobago. For them, registration is requested between 1 December 2026 and 15 January 2027.
This application can be submitted online, by postal mail, or in person at the Town Hall of Aznalcázar. The conditions are available at the INE and at the Town Hall, and all official information is collected at the INE's electronic headquarters, at sede.ine.gob.es.
