The Town Hall of Los Palacios y Villafranca has incorporated an EcoCleaning electric tanker vehicle to enhance street washing and watering, with an investment of €170,000 funded by the Sevilla Provincial Council.
The Town Hall of Los Palacios y Villafranca has received a new EcoCleaning electric tanker vehicle that will be used for watering and washing roads, streets, avenues, and boulevards in the municipality. The acquisition has been supported by a grant from the Sevilla Provincial Council and has involved an investment of around €170,000.
The mayor, Juan Manuel Valle, and the municipal delegate for Urban Habitat, Irene García, participated in the reception event, along with municipal staff who received training from the supplying company on how to operate the new equipment.
Valle explained that this vehicle allows
“to multiply our street washing capabilities in boulevards, streets, and avenues”and represents
“another step in the renewal of the Town Hall's vehicle fleet”. The mayor highlighted its
“very functional”nature, as its compact size makes it easier to manoeuvre and access various public spaces.
The new truck features an electric drive system that optimises water consumption, combining pressure and flow for high performance. It has a tank of about 3,500 litres, smaller than the usual 8,000 litres found in such equipment, which reduces the vehicle's weight and improves safety during operations, as detailed by the supplying company.
Among its cleaning elements are a hose reel with a hose and lance of different effects, an adjustable pole, and an integrated front cleaning bar, ready for washing and sprinkler watering. The driver can control all functions from the command station.
The mayor emphasised that the arrival of this resource will help improve municipal cleaning services and advance the modernisation of the vehicle fleet.
“We continue to progress in the modernisation and renewal of municipal vehicles and equipment to enhance the delivery of our public services”, Valle concluded.
