The LGTBIQ+ association of Dos Hermanas elects a new board led by Luis Rodríguez, the largest in its history, with eleven areas of work.

The Visibles 2H association of Dos Hermanas has begun a new phase following the General Assembly held on July 23, where the Board of Directors was elected to lead the organization for the coming years. The candidacy led by Luis Rodríguez, who was previously responsible for Family Coordination, received the support of the members.

The main novelty of this mandate is the expansion of the governing body, which now consists of eleven people, making it the largest board since the entity's foundation. This structure aims to strengthen the association's capacity to work through a more horizontal, participatory, and specialised model.

The new Board of Directors is made up of Luis Rodríguez as President and Family Coordinator; Patricia Zambrano as Vice President; Alejandro Estrada as Secretary; Antonio Morilla as Treasurer and Culture Coordinator; Ana Fayna Santana as Trans Coordinator; Jonathan Vázquez in Communication; María Acebes in Sports; Andrés Vicente in Training; Estefanía Sánchez in Volunteering; Sergio González in Health, and Neyzan Santana in Youth.

With this reorganisation, Visibles 2H aims to sectoralise its activities so that each area has its own coordination. The goal is to diversify work, create stronger teams, and develop specific projects in areas such as youth, families, health, sports, culture, training, trans realities, communication, and volunteering.

The new structure will also allow for increased presence of the entity in the social life of Dos Hermanas, improve attention to the needs of the LGTBIQ+ community, and strengthen collaboration with public administrations, educational centres, and other entities in the municipality.

The new president, Luis Rodríguez, stated that “this new Board represents a different way of understanding participation. We want Visibles 2H to be an association where the focus is on the team, where each person contributes from their area, and where there are clear references to develop stable and useful projects for the community.”

Rodríguez added that “we are starting an exciting phase, marked by the growth of the association and the commitment to continue defending the rights of LGTBIQ+ individuals, promoting equality, diversity, and coexistence through dialogue, training, and social participation.”

The new board faces its mandate with the aim of consolidating ongoing projects and developing new initiatives for awareness, support, training, culture, sports, health, and institutional advocacy. In the coming months, the association will publicly present its roadmap, focused on increasing social participation and strengthening the volunteer network.
