Unemployment falls again in Dos Hermanas: 238 fewer unemployed in July and 1,415 fewer than a year ago. The municipality records its best historical figure for this month since 2007.

Dos Hermanas has once again reduced its unemployment figures during the past month of July. According to data provided by the City Council, the municipality closed the month with 238 fewer unemployed people than in June, representing a decrease of 2.4% and marking six consecutive declines.

The year-on-year comparison is even more favourable. Compared to July 2025, when there were 11,123 people without jobs, the current figure stands at 9,708 unemployed people, which represents a drop of 1,415 unemployed, a 12.7% decrease. This percentage significantly exceeds the provincial average, which is at 9%.

In fact, the figure is historic: since 2007, Dos Hermanas has not recorded a July with so few unemployed people. However, the performance of employment has not been the same for men and women. In July, the number of unemployed men decreased by 46, while the number of unemployed women decreased by 192.

Despite this improvement, the gender gap persists in the municipality. Women represent 65% of the total unemployed in Dos Hermanas, compared to 35% of men. The evolution of the local labour market will continue to be marked by the data published in the coming months, with the aim of consolidating the downward trend.
