Mayor Juanma López participates in the road safety and sustainable transport workshops held at the Federico García Lorca Civic Centre with users from the Municipal Patronage APRODI Day Centre.
The European Mobility Week in Mairena del Alcor concluded this Friday with a day of workshops at the Federico García Lorca Civic Centre aimed at users of the Municipal Patronage APRODI Day Centre. The activity was attended by the mayor, Juanma López, along with the councillors for Equality and Mobility, Alejandro Cruz and Ana Guillén.
Participants engaged in group dynamics and discussions about urban accessibility and coexistence in public spaces. The central resource was a large-scale game board called Gran Carrera de la Movilidad, which addressed sustainable transport habits and road safety education.
"We have been in educational centres and thought it would be good to also include the users of this centre. It has been beautiful and important; we all need to try to teach, but also learn from their needs: to understand how they navigate and what difficulties they face to try to make their day-to-day life as good as possible," the mayor stated.
The mayor insisted that improving accessibility remains a priority for the council in the neighbourhood works.
"Obstacles are being resolved as we carry out improvement works in the different neighbourhoods. The priority is to enhance mobility and make public spaces more participatory and livable for all of society," he added.
With this meeting, the municipality concludes the programming of the European Mobility Week, which in this edition has also reached educational centres and included users from APRODI.
