The service against sexual assaults will operate Thursday, Friday, and Saturday of the Fair, from 20:00 to 1:30, on Tanguillo Street, in front of the Municipal Booth. Additionally, it will distribute 500 bracelets to detect chemical submission.
The Lebrija Fair will feature a Violet Point for the fourth consecutive year, which in 2026 expands its days and hours of operation. The service, promoted by the Equality delegation of the Lebrija City Council, will be operational Thursday, Friday, and Saturday of the Fair, from 20:00 to 1:30, according to the council.
The main novelty of this edition is the expansion of the service, which will have a new location on Tanguillo Street, in front of the Municipal Booth. The space will have specialized staff who will provide information, advice, awareness, and prevention, as well as intervene in potential assaults and coordinate with health services and security forces.
The Equality delegate, María Labrador, emphasized the importance of "continuing to strengthen prevention and awareness measures" during the Fair, with the aim of involving all citizens in creating safe and respectful leisure spaces.
Among the new features is the distribution of 500 preventive bracelets for detecting possible cases of chemical submission. These bracelets incorporate sensors that allow checking drinks with a few drops, detecting the presence of certain substances to facilitate preventive action.
The Violet Point will also provide informational materials such as cups, fans, handkerchiefs, and brochures about sexual assaults, what to do in the event of a possible assault, and where to seek help. The campaign also includes specific information for the prevention of violence against LGBTQ individuals, aiming to ensure that the Fair is a safe space for everyone.
In addition to the fixed point assistance, staff will move around the fairgrounds to bring the campaign closer to attendees. The Equality delegation encourages citizens to visit the Violet Point, participate in activities, and make use of this resource during the Fair.
