The Town Hall of Lebrija has published the Municipal Regulations that will govern the Fair and Patron Saint Festivities in honour of Our Lady of the Castle, which will take place from September 9 to 12, 2026. The official lighting is scheduled for Tuesday, September 8.
The provisions aim to ensure the normal development of the festivities and reinforce safety, coexistence, cleanliness, health, mobility, and prevention, given the large influx of people expected at the fairgrounds.
One of the regulations sets the hours for music and the sale of alcoholic beverages in the booths, which are prohibited from 6:00 AM. Another regulates noise and sound equipment: speakers must face inward, with a power limit of 1,500 W and a maximum of 100 dBA, and low-frequency speakers are prohibited.
Hygienic and sanitary measures have also been established for the booths, regarding the handling, preservation, and origin of food, hygiene, waste management, and other sanitary requirements. Regarding safety, it is reminded that fire extinguishers and civil liability and fire insurance are mandatory.
Due to the processional outing of the patron saint, scheduled for September 12, parking will be prohibited on the streets of the itinerary, during the times determined by the Citizen Security Delegation. Additionally, a specific regulation governs the collection of solid and selective waste in the venue, with schedules and conditions for the removal of rubbish, cardboard, and glass during the setup and the days of the fair.
The pyrotechnic show “Toro de Fuego” will also have safety measures, delimitation of the area, and restrictions on the circulation and parking of vehicles and pedestrians. Traffic and vehicle access to the fairgrounds will also be regulated, including entry, exit, loading and unloading, supply schedules, and restrictions during the conditioning work and the event itself.
The document also includes mandatory rules for the booths regarding electrical installations, kitchens and gas equipment, extinguishers, insurance, noise, waste, supply, vehicle circulation, and hygienic-sanitary conditions.
The Town Hall of Lebrija emphasizes the importance of booth managers, establishments, participants, and the general public knowing and respecting these provisions to promote a safe, clean fair in the best conditions of coexistence.
