Lebrija opens registration until September 20 for TándEM gardening programme for young people with disabilities

The City Council of Lebrija and PRODE are seeking ten unemployed young people with disabilities under 30 for training and work in San Benito Park until September 20.

The City Council of Lebrija and the PRODE Association are looking for ten unemployed young people with disabilities under 30 for a programme that combines training and real work in San Benito Park.

The Andalusian Employment Service (SAE) is open for registration for the new gardening specialty of the TándEM programme, an initiative of the State Public Employment Service (SEPE) that combines theoretical and practical training with an alternating apprenticeship contract. The deadline ends on September 20.

The recipients are ten young people with disabilities under 30 who are unemployed. Applications can be submitted through the SAE website, and the PRODE Association can be contacted for queries at 663 145 811.

The City Council of Lebrija has provided the San Benito Park and the Nature Classroom with its adjoining spaces for participants to work on real projects. There, they will receive training in gardening, sustainable landscaping, maintenance of green areas, efficient irrigation management, and conservation of natural spaces.

The planned interventions include the creation of new garden areas, improvement of irrigation systems, renovation of green spaces, and measures for the renaturalisation of the park itself. The aim is to achieve a more sustainable, resilient, and accessible garden for all citizens.

The collaboration between the local administration and the social entity has been crucial for PRODE to present the proposal and advance its implementation. The provision of municipal spaces is the foundation upon which this training specialty is structured.

The involvement of the City Council of Lebrija, through the provision of the necessary spaces to develop the specialty, has allowed the PRODE Association to present this proposal and advance in its future implementation.

Those interested must formalise their registration before September 20 via the link provided by the SAE or by calling PRODE's phone number. The programme will then commence with the incorporation of the ten selected participants.
