The Town Hall of Lebrija is organising an event this Sunday, July 19, in Plaza de España to watch the World Cup final between Spain and Argentina. There will be a giant screen, DJ, and face painting from 20:00.

The Plaza de España de Lebrija will transform this Sunday, July 19, into a huge outdoor grandstand to follow the World Cup final between Spain and Argentina. The Town Hall has prepared a festive programme that will kick off at 20:00 with music, entertainment, and activities for all ages.

The sporting event, which pits La Roja against one of the most powerful teams in the world, will be shown on a large-format screen installed in the heart of the town. The aim, according to municipal sources, is for locals and visitors to share the excitement of the match in a family-friendly and safe environment.

Musical Entertainment and Face Painting to Set the Mood

Before the kick-off, a DJ will liven up the wait with music to create the atmosphere for this grand event. Additionally, the little ones – and not so little ones – can join the party with a face painting service featuring the colours of Spain, contributing to the festive atmosphere surrounding major football events.

The organisation has planned for the entertainment to continue after the match, especially if Spain manages to lift the trophy. “We want people to experience the final as if they were in the stadium, but from the centre of Lebrija,” officials from the town hall stated.

A High-Stakes Clash Between Two Powers

The match sees Spain, seeking its second World Cup title, face Argentina, a team that is always a contender. The game promises intensity, talent, and excitement until the final minute, with world stars on both sides. For the people of Lebrija, it is an opportunity to come together for one of the most important events in the sport.

The Town Hall reminds everyone that entry is free and recommends arriving early to secure a good spot. The weather forecast for Sunday afternoon is favourable, with pleasant temperatures, making it inviting to enjoy the event outdoors.

This initiative is part of the municipality's commitment to energising the urban centre and offering free leisure alternatives for all ages. In previous occasions, similar events like the Euro Cup or Women's World Cup final managed to gather hundreds of people in the same square.

For those who cannot attend, the match will also be broadcast on national television. But, as they say in Lebrija, “it's not the same experiencing it at home as it is in the square, surrounded by neighbours and wearing the national team's jersey.”
