The mayor of Osuna, Rosario Andújar, has visited several neighbourhoods to supervise improvement works in gardening, accessibility, and urban furniture. The plan includes the renovation of playgrounds, benches, and bins.
The Town Hall of Osuna has launched a plan to improve public spaces and playgrounds in the locality, which includes actions in various neighbourhoods. The mayor, Rosario Andújar, accompanied by members of her government team, has visited the areas where work is already underway and announced new interventions for the coming months.
During the tour, works related to infrastructure, accessibility, landscaped areas, and playgrounds were reviewed, with the aim of adapting these environments to the needs of the residents. One of the ongoing actions is taking place in the gardening surrounding the Santo Domingo de Guzmán neighbourhood, where accessibility is also being improved and green areas are being renovated.
Andújar explained that over a decade ago, the Town Hall made a significant investment to provide Osuna with numerous playgrounds and equipped squares, many with rubber flooring for greater safety for children. "Osuna is one of the towns with the most public spaces and playgrounds with that rubber in the entire Campiña area," the mayor highlighted.
"The main concern for the well-being of the residents is in the environment of their homes, which is why it is so important to have conditions where we live and where children, the elderly, and the general public enjoy," she stated.
However, continuous use over all these years has made a renovation necessary. "Due to the heavy use they have received over all these years, they are in need of some renovation, adaptation, and modernisation," the mayor affirmed.
The plan includes general maintenance of the parks in Osuna, with the renewal of playground equipment, benches, bins, and other elements of urban furniture. Among the spaces that will benefit is the Plaza 8 de Marzo.
Andújar emphasised the importance of acting in places closest to homes, where the daily life of citizens takes place, and advocated for continued investment in these environments to improve the well-being of the population. "We must continue to act for the improvement of our town, but, as I said, in the areas close to the homes where we reside is where we need to invest so that every day we can enjoy the best, which is well-being," she concluded.
