The Municipal Sports Centre of Osuna closed its summer 7-a-side football championships on August 31 with the presentation of trophies and medals to the winning teams and top scorers in the infant, alevín, benjamín, and prebenjamín categories.
The Municipal Sports Centre of Osuna concluded its summer 7-a-side football championships on the night of August 31, an event that has brought together dozens of boys and girls during the summer months and turned the pitch into a meeting point for families.
The closing day was attended by the municipal sports delegate, Benito Eslava; the delegate for Citizen Participation, Ana Lebrón; and the vice president of the Osuna Bote Club, Manuel Jiménez, who presented the awards to the winning teams, top scorers, and participants.
In the infant category, the title went to Furia Portuguesa, with Oliver Padilla as the top scorer. In alevín, the champions were Los Imparables, and Lucas Rodríguez took home the trophy for best scorer. In benjamín, Los Osos emerged victorious, and Hugo Giráldez excelled in scoring. Finally, in prebenjamín, Los Titanes were the winners, and Adrián Martín received the individual award.
Eslava provided a positive assessment of the activity and highlighted the atmosphere experienced in the stands throughout the summer.
“It generates great anticipation among families, with parents regularly attending the stands to support the little ones during the matches,” he noted.
The delegate also praised the increase in female participation in these championships.
“Mixed teams are becoming more common, a situation that reflects the gradual incorporation of women's football into these competitions,” he highlighted.
The closing also coincided with the presentation of cups to participants in the Brotherhood Championship, which celebrated its second edition this year and is organised by the Osuna Bote Club. Eslava valued this initiative as a space where coexistence is prioritised over results.
“It is a championship where there is always an extraordinary atmosphere, and where coexistence is especially valued over competition,” he stated.
With this event, the Municipal Sports Centre concludes a summer in which 7-a-side football has established itself as one of the most followed activities among the youngest, with afternoons and evenings of sport and camaraderie culminating in awards for the most outstanding teams and scorers.
