Over 150 children have participated in the Summer Municipal Sports Schools of Osuna, which have concluded after two months of activity. The closing event included the presentation of diplomas and special recognitions.

The Summer Municipal Sports Schools of Osuna have concluded their 2026 edition after two months of activities, held during July and August, with the participation of more than 150 children in the Football and Multisports categories.

The closing event, held at the municipal facilities, was attended by the municipal sports delegate, Benito Eslava, and the municipal social welfare delegate, Mª Carmen Berraquero, who presented diplomas to all participants.

In addition to the general diplomas, individual recognitions were awarded to the child with the best grade, the one who showed the greatest level of improvement, and the one who received recognition for their high degree of teamwork.

Benito Eslava highlighted the positive reception of this edition and emphasised the importance of allowing young children to enjoy sports during the summer months. In this regard, he noted that these schools “allow children to continue enjoying sports during these months.”

The delegate also thanked families for “the trust placed in the Municipal Sports Schools” and their involvement in enabling their children to participate in these activities. He also praised the work done by the coaches during these two months, highlighting their dedication and professionalism.

For his part, the coordinator of both schools, David Anaya, emphasised that both the Municipal Football School and the Multisport School “focus not only on technique and various sports disciplines but also on education in values.”

In this context, he highlighted the importance of promoting values such as teamwork, respect, perseverance, and cooperation among children.

The Municipal Football School focused on the technical aspects specific to this discipline, while the Municipal Multisport School offered participants the opportunity to engage with different sports, fostering a more varied and enriching learning experience.

These schools are launched every summer with the aim of energising children during the holidays and providing them with a healthy leisure alternative, allowing them to continue practising sports while acquiring new knowledge and values.

The presentation of diplomas and recognitions thus marks the final touch to a new edition, in which more than 150 minors have been able to enjoy sports, learn, and share experiences with their peers.
