The work 'The City of Towers Dresses for the Fair', by Luna Pérez Flores, has been chosen from eleven proposals to announce the Écija Fair 2026.

The artist Luna Pérez Flores has emerged as the winner of the contest to choose the announcing poster for the Écija Fair 2026. Her work, titled 'The City of Towers Dresses for the Fair', was selected by the judging panel from a total of eleven submitted proposals.

The jury was made up of representatives from various political groups of the Municipal Corporation, local artists specialised in painting, and the delegate for Major Festivals, Raquel Miranda, who acted as president. The final vote took place mid-morning this Thursday, after several days of deliberation.

The submitted works have been on display since last Monday in the hall of the Sanjuán Municipal Theatre, where the jury was able to examine them closely before making the final decision.

The author herself explained that her proposal breaks with the norm for this type of call. “I made a proposal quite different from what we are usually accustomed to seeing. I opted for a typographic poster where the text ‘Écija Fair’ would be the main element that draws attention, designing the rest of the visual elements as a complement that reinforces this concept,” Pérez Flores stated after learning the verdict.

The delegate for Major Festivals wanted to thank all the artists who participated in the contest and highlighted the high level of the proposals received. Miranda also had words of recognition for the jury members “for their work and commitment to the dissemination of our culture and traditions.”

With the selection of the poster, the Écija City Council begins to prepare for the next edition of the Écija Fair, one of the most important festive events on the local calendar. The work of Luna Pérez Flores will be the image that announces this celebration, which each year gathers thousands of visitors at the local fairgrounds.
