The Town Hall of Valencina de la Concepción has begun this September the construction of the new indoor swimming pool at the Municipal Sports Centre Diego de Paz, with a budget close to one million euros. The project will allow swimming throughout the 365 days of the year and is set to be completed in February.
The new indoor pool in Valencina de la Concepción is already underway. Construction work began this month of September 2026 at the Municipal Sports Centre Diego de Paz, according to the Town Hall of Valencina de la Concepción.
The project has a budget close to one million euros and is expected to be completed by February. The facility will allow swimming and the development of aquatic activities throughout the 365 days of the year, without depending on the summer season.
This initiative is part of the comprehensive renovation process of the Municipal Sports Centre Diego de Paz, one of the main sports facilities in the area. The council states that this investment reflects its commitment to improving public services and facilities for residents.
"We continue to work so that Valencina de la Concepción has increasingly better facilities and public services," says the Town Hall.
For the residents of Valencina de la Concepción, the indoor pool will mean being able to maintain water sports activities even in winter, something that has not been possible in the municipality until now. The new facility will complement the existing amenities at the sports complex.
The construction work will continue over the coming months and is expected to conclude in February, when the pool can open its doors.
