The public school in Valencina de la Concepción begins the 2026-27 academic year with a new access from Avenida Europa, a renovated sports court, and the refurbishment of the restrooms on the upper floor expected to be completed by the end of the year.
The CEIP Algarrobillo in Valencina de la Concepción has welcomed the 2026-27 school year with several improvements to its facilities. The works, carried out during the summer, aim to provide students with a more accessible, safe environment with more green spaces.
The main novelty is the establishment of a new access from Avenida Europa, designed to streamline daily entries and exits from the centre. This entrance complements the main one and aims to alleviate congestion during peak times for families.
The sports court has been fully prepared for use during breaks and in Physical Education classes. The work includes repairing the surface and renewing the game lines, as reported by the local Town Hall.
Regarding services, the restrooms on the ground floor have already been refurbished, while the work on the upper floor will be completed before the end of the year. This is a comprehensive project affecting all the bathrooms in the educational centre.
The playground has also gained shade and greenery. Trees in poor condition have been replaced with new specimens of carob and alder in the rear area and around Avenida Europa. The choice of these species, which give the school its name, aims to ensure cooler resting areas during breaks.
On the occasion of the start of classes, the Town Council wanted to convey a message of support to the teaching staff and, especially, to the new management team taking over the management of the centre this year. In its statement, it wishes the children of Valencina a school year full of learning and excitement.
