The Town Hall of Tomares and the Chamber of Commerce of Seville are launching a 'National and International Cuisine' course of 210 hours for unemployed individuals under 30 years old. Registrations are open until 13th September and there are 8 places reserved for young people from the municipality.

The Town Hall of Tomares, through its Local Development Agency (ADL), and the Chamber of Commerce of Seville have organised a 'National and International Cuisine' course aimed at young people aged between 16 and 29 who are unemployed and registered in the National Youth Guarantee System. The training, lasting 210 hours, will be held at the Fundación Cruzcampo (Avda. de Andalucía, 1, Seville) from 14th September to 3rd November, from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm, Monday to Friday.

The course is part of the 'Young Talent' Training and Employment Programme, co-financed by the European Social Fund Plus (FSE+), and aims to provide a professional outlet for individuals under 30 who are seeking employment. Places are limited to 8 for young people from Tomares, who must have completed their secondary education.

The content is structured into two modules: the first, lasting 60 hours, covers basic preparations, cooking technology, pastry, and job search techniques; the second, lasting 150 hours, focuses on national and international cuisine, with specific workshops on rice, frying, legumes, and ham cutting, as well as cost management and restaurant desserts.

The registration period will remain open until 13th September, and applications can be made through the website of the Chamber of Commerce of Seville or the Employment and Entrepreneurship Portal of the Town Hall of Tomares.

The aim, according to the Town Hall, is for participants to acquire the skills necessary to work as chefs, with techniques in food preparation, presentation, and preservation. Classes include demonstration visits and practical training in emblematic dishes of national and international cuisine.

This initiative is part of the collaboration agreement between both entities to promote youth employment in the Aljarafe region. Interested parties can obtain more information through the official channels of the town council.
