The Town Hall of Tomares and Prodetur offer 15 places for an in-person 40-hour course, from 14 to 25 September, aimed at unemployed individuals, entrepreneurs, and professionals.

The Town Hall of Tomares, through its Local Development Agency (ADL) and in collaboration with Prodetur, has opened registration for the free “Practical AI and Task Automation for Small Businesses” course, a 40-hour training that will take place from 14 to 25 September at the Tomás de Ybarra Cultural Centre.

This initiative is part of the 2026 Employability, Business Promotion, and Entrepreneurship Training Plan and is aimed at both unemployed individuals looking to enhance their employability and entrepreneurs and professionals seeking to modernise their businesses. Places are limited: 15, on a first-come, first-served basis.

The course, which will run from 16:30 to 20:45, aims to equip participants to apply artificial intelligence and automation tools in their daily business operations. Attendees will learn to optimise processes, reduce repetitive tasks, and improve operational efficiency, with the goal of increasing productivity and competitiveness of their businesses.

Among the planned content are key concepts about AI and automation in small businesses, application opportunities in SMEs, processes that can be simplified, effective prompt design, email and communication automation, summary and report generation, and document organisation. The use of AI to enhance customer service and boost sales will also be addressed, as well as the development of an implementation plan tailored to an SME.

The training also includes a module on personal productivity: task planning, priorities, agendas, lists, calendars, and reminders, with special attention to maintaining human control over decisions. Students will practice with text assistants for administrative and commercial tasks, and with useful applications for communication, sales, and document management.

Interested individuals can register through the Prodetur training portal, where the link for this edition is already available. More information can also be found on the Employment and Entrepreneurship Web Portal of the Town Hall of Tomares or on the municipal social networks.

The course presents an opportunity for small businesses in the Aljarafe region to make the leap to digitalisation with accessible tools that can be applied from day one. Places will be allocated strictly in order of arrival, so early registration is recommended.
