The mayor of Palomares del Río, Manuel Benjumea, has collected the commemorative armband dedicated to the municipality at an event at the Ciudad Deportiva Luis del Sol. The item was worn during the match against Real Sociedad on 19 September 2025.
The Real Betis Balompié has honoured Palomares del Río with a commemorative armband that the local mayor, Manuel Benjumea, collected at an event held at the Ciudad Deportiva Luis del Sol. The presentation was made by the captain of the first team, Marc Bartra, and the president of the Foundation and director of Institutional Relations, Rafael Gordillo.
The armband was worn in the match Real Betis Balompié - Real Sociedad on 19 September 2025, corresponding to matchday 5 of the league, held at the Estadio de La Cartuja. This initiative has been repeated for several years with mayors, councillors, supporters, and institutional representatives from various municipalities in Seville.
For the Palomares del Río Town Hall, the recognition is a source of pride for the town and for the local Betis supporters, who thus see their name linked to the club during an official competition day.
The presentation is part of the events that the green-and-white club organises each season with representatives from the province, an event that in this edition has featured the municipality of Aljarafe.
