The Mairena del Aljarafe City Council has published the list of applications for school material aid and has set a deadline of July 15 to correct deficiencies. Families and stationery shops should check the notice board on the electronic headquarters.

The Mairena del Aljarafe City Council has activated the correction process for school material aid for the 2026-2027 academic year. From July 2 until the next July 15, families and stationery shops that have applied for these subsidies can review whether their file requires additional documentation and correct any possible deficiencies. The council has published the complete list on the notice board of its electronic headquarters, accessible at mairenadelaljarafe.sedelectronica.es.

Deadline to provide pending documentation

Those who have submitted their application must check if the City Council requires any documents from them. The deadline for corrections ends on July 15, 2026, and if the file is not completed by that date, the application will be considered withdrawn. Documentation can be submitted in person or electronically.

For in-person submissions, the designated location is the Los Alcores Sociocultural Centre, located at San Isidro Labrador Street, s/n, in Mairena del Aljarafe. The opening hours are from 10:00 to 14:00, Monday to Friday, and no prior appointment is necessary. This registration point is specifically designed for families, who can come directly with the required documentation.

On the other hand, the electronic option allows the process to be completed from home via the municipal electronic headquarters. The procedure requires access to 'Citizen Folder', then 'My Folder' and identification with a digital certificate or Clave. Once inside, the application file is selected, the necessary files are attached, and the process is signed and submitted.

Aid for families and stationery shops in the municipality

This call for aid is intended to cover part of the expenses for school materials for students registered in Mairena del Aljarafe. The subsidies are granted to both families and stationery shops participating in the program, which can bill the City Council directly for materials purchased by beneficiaries. The aim is to alleviate the financial burden at the start of the school year and promote purchases in local commerce.

The list of submitted applications is already available, and the council recommends that all interested parties check their status as soon as possible to avoid last-minute surprises. The correction is a mandatory step to avoid losing the aid, and the City Council has established both in-person and digital channels to facilitate the process for all residents.

The Education Department of the City Council reminds that, once the deficiencies are corrected, the aid will be resolved in the coming weeks. Families that meet all requirements will receive a fixed amount per student, which varies depending on the educational level and family income, although the bases of the call were published at the time.

Recommendations to avoid losing the aid

To expedite the process, the City Council advises reviewing the required documentation in advance. It is common for the applicant's ID, the family book, or proof of registration to be missing, although each case may have specific requirements. The electronic headquarters allows downloading the list of deficiencies and attaching files in PDF or image format.

If opting for the in-person route, the Los Alcores Sociocultural Centre has municipal staff who can guide residents. It is not necessary to print large amounts of paper: it is sufficient to bring the original documents and a copy, which will be verified and returned. Morning hours help avoid crowds, although the City Council does not anticipate large queues.

Once the correction period has ended, the City Council will proceed to evaluate the applications and publish the final list of beneficiaries. The aid will be paid directly to the participating stationery shops or to the families, as applicable, before the start of the school year in September. Residents of Mairena del Aljarafe who have questions can consult the municipal website or visit the registry for personalised information.
